Writing and receiving snail mail is a delight. Especially when it’s unexpected or comes in an unpredictable form (bottle at sea, bathroom stall, radio shout out)
In this experience we will read poems addressed to strangers by poets like Kim Addonizio and Brenda Shaugnessy and then do our own creative prompts in the spirit of sending snail mail to strangers, whether it’s to inanimate objects, animals, ghosts, ideas, or literal people we’ve never met.
After we write them we will decide how to send them into the world (flier, postcard, anonymous yelp post)
Bring your favorite notebook and pen. Tea, cozy music and stickers will be provided.
